got another one of my guns i'm going to show you how to field strip this is a glock 19 generation 4 9 millimeter so let's just get right into it this gun i've seen a lot of videos on how to field strip it and they just don't give you much information and they don't tell you the easiest way to do it in my opinion i'm going to show you what they're not telling you and trust me i watched a lot i couldn'tfind one video giving you this information first of all you pull the you make sure the gun's empty okay we're empty first thing you do you take grab the gun turn it upside down in your hand like this okay you take you retract the barrel the slide back about an eighth of an inch i don't know where they get this 516 stuff they always talk about you pull it back an eighth of an inch on the slide and the reason i do this is because this thing will bite your fingers and your hands this way you don't get your hand in there and i have wrist problems occasionally and doing it this way just put your meteor hand right in there to get hurt this way even my wife cleans the gun this way okay you retract it back about an eighth of an inch pull down on your locks one on both sides there's one on both sides pull those down release the slide let off your locks once down it's not in the middle that tells you  something right there this is not in the middle this one is up you can pop it down now it wants to stay in the middle this one wants to stay in the middle that's where they should be pull the trigger take your thumb give it a push and it's ready to do a field strip pop your slide spring out remove your barrel do all your clean work give it a couple drops of oil in these four places myself i give it just a touch of white lithium grease and i mean just a touch that's it put your barrel back in put your slide spring back in give it a good healthy push get it down there if it's in tight it's in the right place replace your slide cat here okay just in case i went too fast let's do it again the gun upside down retract it about the slide about an eighth of an inch pull both of your locks down release your slide looks like the locks should be in the middle position on both sides both of them in the middle pull your trigger push it off another way i s i do it which isn't quite as dependable pull the trigger  first grab it pull it back an eighth of an inch release both the slide locks that one's down it wants to do this the other one wants to stay up give it a pop it's in the right positions in the middle this one's now in the middle and it comes off  so you do it before or after with the trigger i think doing it afterwards grab it pull them both down release tends to seem to work better every time full trigger pop that seems to be the way i do it most of the time occasionally i'll forget and pull the trigger before anyway i hope this helps you out.
